Uppal fish & chips

This fish and chip shop was absolutely faultless. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming attitude of the owners really stood out—they made us feel welcomed. The shop operates on a cash-only basis, which we found refreshing. As for the food, the chips were hands down the best we’ve had in a long time—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. Everything was cooked fresh and served piping hot. You can tell there’s real care and pride taken in the food here. The price was affordable and we did not fell ripped off. Overall, a fantastic experience. Great service, excellent food. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality fish and chips. .

* new edit tonight* This is THE best fish in Henley - to be honest, it’s the best fish I’ve had in as long as I can remember. Many many places in Henley sell fish and chips, pubs, restaurants, the posho food ‘establishments’ - but this place has it. Tasty, cooked fresh, really well priced and always served with a huge smile. I can’t fault this place. The large cod is the best, most succulent and flavoursome fish you’ll taste around here. The portions are huge and just gorgeous. Please see the photos - where can you get fish, of this quality, of this tastiness, of this size anywhere else in Henley? …..you can’t believe me. Go and try it for yourself. And thank you guys - it’s clear to see how hard you work and great respect to you x Yes. This is how it is supposed to be. When you dream of fish and chips, I think this is it. Service was smiley and exactly on time, straight out of the fryer. People of Henley….I’m not sure you need to go anywhere else for your fish and chips craving. This is the best you’ll taste anywhere near here x

Well what can I say except 10/10. The food was great, both my wife and I ate here on the 23th late evening. Quality of foood was top notch, along with some very nice fish & chips and sausage and peas. It's not easy to rate the basic fish and chips, but this was very good indeed. Along with the service from the staff, which was great. Definitely recommend, we will eat here again. Just walk up from the center of Henley you have this quality on your doorstep.

Second time back here. Last time a few months ago but I never stopped thinking about the food. The spicy cod bites are delicious and the chips always fresh. No hard recooked chips here. The owner is a lovely gentleman who is very friendly and approachable. Also a very good marketer it seems, ending every sentence in a reason for you to come back 😂🙂. Overlall lovely establishment. Only downside is cash only, but I used a Tesco/Natwest ATM and my phone app to get a cash code.
